Community: Through location, participation, interests, age and numerous other factors we are members of many communities. CADCOR presents the vision of a safe and healthy drug free community where children surpass their potential and families meet to solve problems for the few and for the many. As our varied lives and backgrounds come together, our neighborhoods strengthen our cities, county, state, and country.
Anti-drug: The most persistent, accepted, and easily attainable drug for youth is ALCOHOL. We know that pills, potions, legal and illegal substances are available but our number one focus is alcohol. According to the 2006 SPF-SIG survey, by the twelfth grade 42 percent of students surveyed have had beer, wine, or liquor in the past 30 days.
Coalition: CADCOR is an alliance of distinct groups and individuals uniting for a common cause, to reduce substance use and abuse by our youth and create strong and safe communities.

Parents be aware of the "Social Host" law, which is to become effective July 1, 2009. This law creates new legal consequences for parents and other adults that host parties where underage drinking occurs. It will be a class "A" misdemeanor, with a maximum punishment of almost a year in jail, to knowingly allow someone over the age of 18, but under the age of 21 to drink or possess alcoholic beverages or knowingly fail to stop a minor from drinking or possessing alcoholic beverages while the minor is present on real property owned or otherwise possessed by the offender. |
